Experiencing Mystical Sedona Arizona – a Different Adventure is Awaiting

Sedona Arizona is a place with a long history of civilization. The first documented human presence in Sedona area dates to between 11500 to 9000 B.C. As of the 2010 census, its population was 10,031. Although it’s area history is old it was Founded as a city in 1902 and Incorporated in 1988.

Sedona’s main attraction for most people are its array of red sandstone formations. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun. The red rocks form a popular backdrop for many activities, ranging from spiritual pursuits to the hundreds of hiking and mountain biking trails.

A Great Backdrop for Movies

From the beginning of movies Sedona played host to more than sixty Hollywood productions all the way into the 1970s. The small town, which served as a kind of microcosm of Hollywood history, sits about 120 miles north of Phoenix, nestled between thousand-foot-high walls of stone in lushly forested Oak Creek Canyon and the open space of Verde Valley. Its unspoiled landscape that made it an ideal location to shoot outdoor scenes.

Vortex and Meditation

Aside from normal tourist attractions, Sedona is internationally known for its Vortex meditation sites. Apparently these vortex sites are interwoven with the real physical growing city of Sedona.

The city appears to be a perfect place for spiritual and personal enrichment of one’s body and soul. From healing massage treatments, spas and salons to hypnotherapy, yoga, and retreats, Sedona has more to offer than to its natural beautiful scenery.
